Vacuum Excavation (Non-Destructive Digging)

Vacuum Excavation (Non-Destructive Digging)

Vacuum excavation (Non-Destructive Digging) is a dual-purpose method for breaking up soil and underground material using pressurized water then suctioning the water and earth materials to clear the area. Vacuum excavation is a safer and more cost-effective method of excavation. Holes can be created to replace underground utilities without causing damage to other services in the area. M&B Civil works with our clients to find the most cost-effective and efficient way to execute work, including alternative methods to traditional excavation techniques.

Vacuum Excavation can:

  • Provide a cost-effective alternative to traditional excavation
  • Be less evasive excavation techniques when working in a complex underground utility environment
  • Reduce the chance of damaging surrounding utilities
  • Reduce the cost of excavation through increased efficiency of the process and reduces the risk of damaging existing services
